Tip #8 Line seven is where you should enter the amount of federal tax taken out of your paycheck.

Tip #9 Use the tax tables to determine the amount on line six. Then enter this number on line 10.

Tip #10 If line nine is larger than the number on line 10 then the difference between these two numbers will be your refund. This amount should be written on line 11a.

Tip #11 If line 10 is larger than the number on line number nine then this is the amount you owe the government in taxes.

Tip #12 Sign your return and date it.

Tip #13 Mail your 1040 EX, all of your W2 forms, and any payment if necessary to the US IRS by April 15, unless you filed an extension.
